About this global initiative: “For Tomorrow” celebrates and empowers people to share their creative sustainability solutions. It’s a place to connect with innovators, insights, resources, and inspiration to help build a better world for everyone.
My key responsibilities: Multi-stakeholder partnership management, communication strategy, digital and social media management, content development, creative storytelling, brand management, and events management.
The platform
for Tomorrow platform is a space to celebrate and empower people to share their creative sustainability solutions. It’s a place to connect with innovators, insights, resources, and inspiration to help build a better world for everyone. The platform features solutions that help solve evolving development challenges like mobility, waste management, and urban living.
My key responsibilities: Website management, UX & UI, Digital and social media content management.
The documentary
About the documentary: A film about the faces of real change, the Documentary is an 80-minute-long film narrated by Daisy Ridley (Star Wars) celebrating grassroots innovation that moves us toward a safer, more inclusive, and sustainable planet. The film follows five inspiring innovators in Azerbaijan, India, Peru, Sierra Leone, and Viet Nam, supported by the UNDP Accelerator Labs, as they design frugal, home-grown solutions to address the challenges that affect them and their communities.
My key responsibilities: Multi-stakeholder partnership management, communication strategy, storyboarding, script writing, activation/distribution strategy, content creation, and digital and social media strategy.

"for Tomorrow: the Documentary" has won several awards at the Cannes World Film Festival, the New York International Film Awards, and the Montreal Independent Film Festival.
It also won 13 awards across five countries, including the Gold Anthem Award, which the Webby Awards host, and the Jury’s Award at the Quetzalcoatl Indigenous International Film Festival in Mexico. It was also selected for nine international film festivals, including the Swiss International Film Festival, the Bridge of Peace International Film Festival in France, and the Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival. The for Tomorrow initiative won the 2023 South by Southwest (SXSW) Innovation Award in the Media category. It also won an 8th Shorty Impact Award and a Webbys’ Anthem Award.

The partnership
United Nations Development Programme and Nesta’s Centre for Collective Intelligence design release first-of-its-kind research to action climate change
About this global initiative: “UNTAPPED: Collective Intelligence for Climate Action” is first-of-its-kind research which demonstrates that collective intelligence can generate more real-time, hyper-local climate data and mobilize diverse groups of people to take action on climate related crises. This new research from the UNDP Accelerator Labs Network and Nesta’s Centre for Collective Intelligence Design was released on Earth Day 2024, April 22.
My key responsibilities: Multi-stakeholder partnership management, communication strategy, digital and social media management, content development, creative storytelling, brand management, events management, web development and project management, and UX design.
The research
About: Instead of a conventional report document, an interactive UNTAPPED microsite was developed with developers and designers in Drupal 10.
Key responsibilities: Partnership management project and website management, UX & UI, digital and social media content management.
The stories
About: Ten case studies worldwide were curated to illustrate practical ways people use collective intelligence methods to take climate action.

The partnership
United Nations Development Programme, UNDP’s Sustainable Energy Hub, Viz For Social Good, Colombia University, and the HoneyBee Network join forces to launch PeoplePowered.
About this global initiative: UNDP, powered by its Accelerator Labs with UNDP’s Sustainable Energy Hub, Viz For Social Good, Columbia University and the HoneyBee Network in India celebrates and learns from grassroots innovators and their sustainable energy solutions to address energy poverty.
My key responsibilities: Multi-stakeholder partnership management, campaign development, brand and content management, communication strategy, digital and social media management, creative storytelling, creative design, web development, and UX design.
The campaign
About:
About 733 million people—almost 1 in 10 worldwide—do not have access to electricity and the dignity and opportunities it brings. #peoplepowered (a play on “powered by people”) aims to learn from and spotlight women and men who innovate in the margins and, through little means, create local energy solutions for their communities.

The Research
About:
Understanding the Transformative Potential of Grassroots Energy Solutions is a publication in collaboration with the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and the UNDP Accelerator Labs. This research presents a comprehensive normative framework for analyzing bottom-up innovations, the Grassroots Thinking Approach.
My key responsibilities:

About:
I developed by myself a microsite for #peoplepowered to showcase digestibly all the communication products related to this initiative. This enables users to understand the campaign better, peruse different grassroots energy solutions, read the research on its transformative potential, and interact with various data visualizations showcasing the 359 grassroots energy solutions.

The events
About:
The Shamsina sisters created sustainable solar water heaters to combat energy poverty and pollution in Egypt. They were brought to represent the #peoplepowered campaign as part of COP27 held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. They participated in an event called “EmpowerHer: Advancing Women Energy Entrepreneurs to Fuel Development”
